Our Vision
The Vision of the Institute is to efficiently and effectively contribute towards addressing the middle level human resource requirements of the Technical, Commercial and Industrial sectors of the country and the creation of opportunities for higher-level technical training through the:
- provision of relevant, viable and marketable programmes that are sustainable. Engage with local and international partners for beneficial and mutual partnerships.
- acquisition of a well trained, highly qualified and motivated Gambian staff that owns the process and can contribute effectively to the future development of the Institute.
- provision of access programmes for entry into higher-level Technical, Vocational and Professional courses offered by Higher Education Institutions in The Gambia and overseas.
- To provide a sound base from which to embark in lifelong learning and post graduate studies and research.
Our MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Institute is to continue to operate as a centre of excellence through the provision of quality Technical, Vocational and Professional Education and Training thus contributing towards meeting the middle level human resource requirements of The Gambia.
We will continue to strengthen our proactive response to the changing development needs, employment opportunities and realities of the nation. The Institute’s range of training programmes to cater for all potential clients and the development of higher level programmes are continuously increased.
As part of the expansion process, GTTI will continue to cater for the expansion of skills training not only in the Greater Banjul Area but to the rural areas through its Rural Annexes, the Rural Skills Training Centre (RSTC) in Mansakonko, Lower River Region (LRR) and more recently the Julangel Skills Training Centre, Upper River Region (URR) with a view to cater for the skills training needs of the rural community.
